Apple Valley Hockey Association (AVHA) and Eastview Hockey Association (EVHA) are happy to announce that we will be working together for the 2016-2017 year to field girls’ teams at the 10U, 12U, and 15U levels.  This combination will ensure the girls in these two associations can continue to play at skill appropriate levels.  We believe this combination is in the best interest of all girls in these two associations.  Given declining girls enrollment it has been difficult for both associations to field level appropriate teams for all players.  This issue appears to be continue for the next few years, but we are only addressing the issue for the 2016-2017 season at this time.  Future years will be determined at a later point.  There are many questions and logistics that still need to be worked out, but each association is committed to making this work. 

What we know so far is that AVHA will host two to three 10U teams and one 15U team.  EVHA will host two 12U teams.  The two associations are working with another association at the 15U level to host a 15U team as well.  The 10U and 12U teams will use one white Apple Valley jersey for home games and the blue Eastview Jersey for away games.  A deposit to the other association will be made for rental of the jersey, which will be returned at the end of the season when the jersey is returned.

Each player will register for their own home association.  The host teams will waive the appropriate girls to the host association as needed.  Tryouts and clinics will be run by the host association with coordination by the other association player development committees.
