Player Development Coordinators

Level Player Development Coordinators (PDCS)This position is appointed by and reports to HDC. PDC is responsible for the hands-on implementation of HDC strategies at their specific level. The levels will be broken up as follows: Bantam, Peewee, Squirt, Girls, Mite and Dry Land. PDCs will ensure proper hockey training at their designated level. This direction will be decided by the HDC and rolled out to coaches by level PDCs. PDCs will have input into the development process but will implement the HDC’s development strategies. Coaches will implement the scope and sequence developed by the HDC. The PDC is a resource to help coaches, not another coach for each team.

Level PDCs will maintain activity and reporting level as required by the HDC in order to receive compensation. This will be written into contracts. Expected PDC activity includes, but is not limited to: participation in HDC meetings when required, preseason meeting with all coaches, 2 regular season meetings with level coaches, regular communication with coaches about development, attend 2 practices and 1 game per month for each team at level.
