Managers - Thank you for volunteering to be the manager for your team; this is a very important position to the team and our association. 

Here are some tools/links that may be helpful. If you have any other tools you feel may be helpful to other managers or additional questions please email Crystal Kapps.

Bad Weather Policy

District 8 does not cancel games due to bad weather. Head coaches are responsible to monitor weather conditions and contact the opposing coach if travel is not advised. Contact Paul Moen, District 8 referee in Chief, as soon as possible prior to 3:00 PM to advise the game is to be cancelled. He will contact the referees. A makeup date should be set as soon as possible and a game change form completed and submitted as per the Game Change rule. No fee is charged for a weather related game change.


Game & Tournament Information

For all games and tournaments managers need to bring your approved roster, consent to treats and copies of coaches cards.  If any Tournament Coordinator requests more than this contact our registrar, Marilou Hochhalter at  registrar@applevalleyhockey.com.

When you check in at a tournament, they may review (not copy) your team's roster. The approved USA hockey roster is evidence that all the listed players meet the age requirement for that division, have had their birth certificates verified and all listed coaches and players are registered with USA hockey, and all are covered by USA hockey insurance.  If they requesting anything in advance a copy of the USA hockey approved roster is sufficient proof to meet all requirements. If they request to hold on to your roster for validation, please be courteous but ensure it is returned to you within a reasonable amount of time.
