Mite 2: Intermediate – 5 & 6 year olds
Mite 3: Intermediate – 7 & 8 year olds
Mite 4: Advanced – 7 & 8 year olds only

Traveling Team Clinics and Tryouts

Clinic and Tryout schedules will be posted on the AVHA web site. All clinic and tryout fees are included in your registration fee. All players wishing to be on an A or B team must attend tryouts and are encouraged to participate in the clinics.  If a player does not attend tryouts he/she will be placed on a lowest level team for their level.  There will be no reduction in the registration fee for those choosing not to participate in clinics or tryouts.

Policy on High School Tryouts

Financial Assistance

AVHA has set aside a limited amount of funds for families that are experiencing a long-term financial hardship. If you would like to request Financial Assistance please review the Financial Assistance Policy and complete the Financial Aid Application. Financial Aid requests are due by September 13th and will be held in strict confidence.

Concession Stand and Volunteer Responsibilities

To help keep the cost of hockey affordable, the AVHA operates the concession stand at Hayes and AV Sports Arena.  To cover our concession stand hours, Mites are responsible for opening and staffing the stand when they are on the ice and traveling teams will be given a block of time to be covered by the team.  In addition to these team hours and each family is required to volunteer five (5) hours during either our hosted tournaments in November and February or the District 6 or Regional tournaments.

Fundraisers

In addition to our Golf Tournament on August 11th, we will be repeating our Schwan’s on-line fundraiser from last season.   Each family will be asked to sell $100 worth of product to fulfill their part of the fundraiser.  You will be receiving more information on this fundraiser once teams are formed.
