The Apple Valley Hockey Association (AVHA) exists not only to help young hockey players to develop their hockey skills, but also for young people to develop their life skills. The results of our recent Toys for Tots campaign point strongly to the fact that our families and players truly understand important life concepts like giving to others who aren’t as fortunate at the Holidays.
Congratulations supporters of Toy for Tots! Together we will donate 603 new toys and miscellaneous items to Toys for Tots, MN. Your generous show of support is directly responsible. We have exceeded our goal by 103 gifts and $1,000 in cash. Together we have made this a special Holiday time for many children in need. Your gifts will be treasured for years to come!
A pizza party will be provided by AVHA to the Wild (Mite Team 7) and Flyers (Mite Team 13) for raising the most toys, and to the Squirt B team for getting a $1000 cash donation.
A special thanks to LCPL Steven Castillo, USMC Reserve Camp Pendleton, for collecting toys over the weekend.
