2011-2012 Tournaments

Apple Valley Hockey Association (AVHA) Tournaments give teams an opportunity to compete vigorously in a fun environment.  Our emphasis is to get teams and spectators in the door while providing modest revenue for the hockey association.  We welcome all associations to our high quality tournaments.  The format for all levels will be 8-team bracket; subject to change based on the final number of entries.  Each team is guaranteed three games. 

For 2011 - 2012 AVHA will be hosting the following tournaments:

Boys & Girls - November 25 - 27, 2011:

Girls 12U A, 10U A, & 10U B - January 5 - 8, 2012:

Price:  $650/team + $25 per player/family guaranteed gate fee

To encourage fan attendance we do not charge an admission fee at the door; instead each team is required to pay a gate fee of $25 per player/family.  Coaches (3) and a (1) Manager are exempt from this fee.

THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT

The Apple Valley Hockey Association tournament committee is partnering with the MN Toys for Tots program to provide new, unwrapped toys to be given to kids in need this holiday season.  We would like to encourage the teams in our Thanksgiving Big Apple Tournament to help us with these donations.

In an effort to increase toy donations and promote the holiday spirit, we will be holding a contest for the most donations by team!  The team in each bracket (Pee Wee, 12U B, and Squirt C) with the most toys donated will receive a $75 VISA Gift Card to be used in any way they wish.  Just have a team representative bring the new, unwrapped toys to tournament headquarters, at Hayes Arena between Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26.  Winning teams will be announced at the games on Sunday, November 27.
